The advice I’m about to give you is that of an older brother, and it deserves to be taken with all the seriousness it warrants.
You are still young, full of life, energy, dreams, and promise. You are at a crucial stage in your life: one where every decision can shape the course of your future. That is precisely why I am taking the time to write to you, not to frighten you, but to awaken in you vigilance, reflection, and maturity.
It is at this age, the age of self-discovery, that many temptations arise. Men will begin to take an interest in you, some perhaps sincerely, but you must know that the majority will not come with good intentions. Many will see in you only a body to possess, an innocence to shatter, a game to conquer, without any regard for your heart, your future, or your dignity.
They will use sweet words, thoughtful gestures, and well-rehearsed flattery. They will present themselves in the best possible light, sometimes even playing the role of “Prince Charming,” just to lure you into their trap. But always remember this: someone who truly loves you will never rush things, will never push you to compromise your values, much less your integrity.
What you possess within you—your virginity, your dignity, your body, your future—is precious. Don’t leave it in the hands of someone who sees you only as a fleeting pleasure. Take the time to know yourself, to build yourself up, to educate yourself. True love is not rushed, it is not imposed; it is proven over time, with respect and patience.
Be disciplined, choose wisely the people you let into your life. Learn to say no, to set boundaries, to withdraw when you feel that something is disrespecting you. Self-respect must be your priority.
I give you this advice from the heart, like an older brother who prefers to warn you now rather than console you later.
Take care of yourself. Protect what you hold most dear: your future.
Above all, focus on your studies. A woman’s future respect will largely depend on the choices she has made in her past.
Don’t let yourself be distracted by fleeting illusions or empty promises. What you build today through your diligence, discipline, and integrity will define how others perceive you tomorrow. An educated, intelligent, dignified, respectable, financially stable, and respectful woman naturally inspires admiration. She doesn’t beg for recognition; she commands it through her poise, principles, and achievements.
Society, however unjust it may sometimes be, always grants a certain degree of respect to those who have managed to protect themselves, educate themselves, and rise above their circumstances. It doesn’t judge solely on beauty or appearances, but on the value a woman exudes through her poise, her clear-sightedness, and her choices.
Conversely, those who have neglected their future by getting lost in toxic relationships, fleeting pleasures, or rash decisions often end up encountering a less forgiving world. The weight of others’ opinions becomes heavier, opportunities dwindle, and rebuilding is always more difficult.
So, protect your future. Invest in your intelligence, cultivate your dignity, and be proud to remain upright even in a twisted world. Study diligently, work with ambition, hold your head high, and stay grounded. Choose companions who lift you up, not drag you down. Be the kind of woman who commands respect even before you know her, simply by the aura she radiates.
What you build in silence today, others will applaud in public tomorrow.
Never forget that, or you’ll be used for free and later you’ll suffer the consequences, I said!
Learn or perish.
